Jane Patterson serves on the US Advisory Council on
the National Information Infrastructure (Presidential
Appointment), where she is also one of six mega
project co-chairs.
Her
area is the vision on the National Information
Infrastructure and the principles for this as well
as responsibility for application principles, such
as electronic commerce, education, health, criminal
justice and government services.
She
is a strong subscriber to the practice of life-long
learning and is always taking on new courses of
study. Currently, she is learning Indonesian.
Jane Patterson has spoken throughout the world on
the subject of the Information Highway and its
applications. She has chaired the start-up planning
and implementations of the largest ATM-Sonet public
switched broadband network effort in the world.
