Michel Mossessian
,trained in architecture and computer science in
Paris, New York,Massachusetts and Harvard. As an
associate of Skidmore Owingsand Merrill-Chicago,
Michel Mossessian began his internationalcareer
between 1987 and 1992. At the end of 1992 along with
severalother architects, engineers and computer
experts, Michel Mossessianco-founded a network of
professionals using computerized systemsand
communication technology. The objective of this
virtual networknamed a4A (atelier 4 Architecture)
are as much to develop a workingenvironment using
the latest technolgy as to question how thesenew
means of exchange and communication may bring new
definitionto our public, working and housing
environments.
Cathrine Veikos
is a registered architect and
co-founderof atelier 4 Architecture. She has been
practicing architecturesince 1985 in New York,
Chicago and Paris. Cathrine was a designerat
Skidmore, Owings and Merrill-Chicago in the late 80s
workingon the large-scale office projects in
Barcelona and London. Herwork in Paris includes the
design of the conference center inthe new ESSO tower
at La Defense with Jean-Paul Viguer and
twocompetitions: the Masterplan for New Government
Offices in Berlinand the New School of the
Beaux-Arts with the Parisian modernist Roland
Simounet.
Cathrine Veikos has lectured both in the United
States and Franceand has taught architectural design
at Harvard, in the CareerDiscovery Program, and
Interior Design on the faculty of the ParsonsSchool
of Design in Paris. She holds a Bachelors Degree
from BarnardCollege, Columbia University and a
Master of Architecture Degree from the Harvard
Universitys Graduate School of Design.
